Additional Info: This lyrical solo was one of Margaret’s favorite compositions.  The piece was inspired by the hummingbirds that would come visit outside of the kitchen window in their North Carolina mountain home.  Listen for the bird calls throughout the work.  Song of the Bird was originally published by Alfred Music in 2000.
